Pedigree:
Donaufürst is an amazing horse that charmed his owners with his dual career. In his first 5 years as a hunter in Canada, he won championship after championship. Following this, he went FEI dressage after only two years of training. The reason for his success is spoken of in his Olympic pedigree. His sire, Mahagoni, sent many stallions to Grand Prix Dressage, as the famous Peron*Pg*E* showed us by medaling in the 1996 Olympics. Through his dam, Donaufahrt vom Shimmelhof, the full sister to Donauwind *E*, the sire of Olympic jumping silver medalist Abdullah *Pg*E*. Don is the only Trakehner in the United States or Germany to produce three approved sons his first year of breeding: Parsival, San Remo, Toscanini and, later, Arnold. Donaufürst was evaluated by the German Verband in 1998, earning the exceptional scores of 9 for walk, 8 for trot, 9 for canter, and 9 for temperament. Donaufürst began his career in Canada where he won numerous championships in Hunter/Jumper competitions. His offspring there continue to bring in hundreds of Hunter Championships.
